Before I move anywhere. I always research the area. You can even call People who have basic business in the Area. A restaurant or a mom and pops store or a thrift store too.

Calling a few people can give You a little more INFO about what people have to say about the area. Also sometimes people are not honest or they make up stuff of they are not sure.

Default No offense, but you clearly don't have much experience with Naperville...

The odds of any random phone call to a local restaurant or thrift store connecting with somebody that has knowledge of any of these subdivision in a town that has nearly 200,000 residents is so remote as to be all but impossible.

Some of these subdivisions literally have thousands of homes, some are split up between multiple school attendance areas. There are just too many variables for even a current resident to make other than broad generalizations that frankly are just about as valid as looking at a map -- subdivisions that are further from trains or schools are likely to have lots of residents that drive nearly everywhere, not the worst thing, just a fact that will influence how easy it is to encounter neighbors.

Naperville generally has a high quality of municipal services, though taxes are not low people feel like the police service is top-notch, schools are very good, park district is well run and mostly a good value. Each subdivision that offers things supported by HOA fees or membership assessments like pools or tennis courts or a clubhouse has some folks that love 'em and others that sort wish things were cheaper...

Until you get down to a handful of actual homes that fit your desires for good commute / access to muncipal amenities it is kind of silly to focus too much on any one subdivision.
