Hello,

So i have a ton of questions. In what order am i supposed to do all this?

I need to get an Illinois drivers license before my car insurance and tag?

Then i can apply for a vehicle sticker and parking permit in evanston?

is that it?

You should change your insurance and address right away. In Illinois, you need to get new car tags within 30 days and a new driver's license within 90 days.

I see i see,

So insurance first and foremost. Then Tag and license. I think i'd rather to the license first.

what about emissions testing? does that exist in Illinois?

I've been doing a ton of reading.

I can't tell if you're supposed to do the emissions test before or after you register the vehicle

i guess i'll just give them a call tomorrow

Jay, register the vehicle first. The state will send you the notification for emissions testing later. They usually give you plenty of time....about 3 months after you receive the form in the mail.
