My son's best friend from Rogers Park is coming up to our home at 12PM and staying until around 9PM. Is there anything for fourteen year olds to do in the suburbs, North, Northwest, or West suburbs or even in Downtown Chicago this Saturday? I am looking for something entertaining. We are thinking about the Botanic Gardens since we can walk there. Is there anything in Highland Park or Lake Forest?Any ideas would be helpfulThanks!

We are thinking about heading over to Naperville this afternoon for lunch and we are thinking about going on the Live Downtown Naperville Home Tour. I have a friend looking to move to the Naperville area and I am a new home builder so I would love to take a peak at what people are doing in the western burbs. My son is very interested in architecture and his friend is happy to go anywhere. It is $20 for admission at the door of each home. You get to tour 20 homes in and around Downtown Naperville. You also get a discount at Raffi's on 5th, Catch 35, Hugo;s Frog Bar, Heaven on Seven, Tango, BD's Mongolian BBQ, Tessa's, Sullivan's Steakhouse, Rosebud, and Meson Sabika. We plan on walking the river walk because I hear it is very pretty. HEY LOCALS: Which of these restaurants is nice and affordable so the friend can pay for himself? I am thinking less than $15 for the meal for him. How long will it take to get to Naperville from Evanston/Rogers Park? I googled about 60 minutes. Is there anything else going on in Downtown Naperville this afternoon or this evening?
