If only I knew how far it is to walk from Arlington Heights Metra to the Northwest Hwy and Evergreen intersection... I will go there once and see...

I would drive. 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes and you can listen to music or books on tape.
Lot shorter than taking the bus.

Take Golf Road. I take it to work to Skokie and it's not bad (although I leave for work at 5 am usually). If Golf is bad, I switch over to Central Rd (next main street north of Golf Road).
