My husband is considering attending one of the medical colleges, either National in Lombard or Midwestern in Downer's Grove.

We can't sell our little condo in Evanston so he will need to commute. Does anyone know when the tollway is expected to be complete? What are the real travel times?

tia

What about renting out your condo and using that revenue to rent a place in Lombard or DG. If he goes to DO school he will be putting in a lot of hours and it would be better for both of you if he's not commuting.

I used to make this commute years ago before the construction. It was not a good commute even in the best of times. Outside of construction, I'm not sure what traffic is like these days going that route, but I expect it is not any better. I dreamt of an expressway running from NE to SW in Chicago

If you are commuting in rush hour, it will be an hour and a half minimum each way. It will easily take you a half hour just to get from Evanston to 294.
