Hi

Is it easy to travel to Argonne for work, from Chicago everyday, whats the best way of commuting ? I dont have a car

Would you recommend that - or is staying in Argonne the easier option

Without a car any commute to Argonne is going to involve some time on a bus. As buses move MUCH slower than cars in areas where they make a lot of stops this is not a desirable situation. Pace does run bus routes to the Argonne campus, but you need to know that getting out to Westmont from Chicago is best done on the BNSF commuter rail, and then you'd need to focus on the bus route to Argonne.

If you were instead already in Westmont, without a car, you would shave off the time of the train commute AND any time that you would need to get from anypoint in Chicago to Union Station...

If this is a long term position and you have family these issues get more complicated.
