Actually I think the OP wants out of the hellhole and he lived there for a long time. The OP thought that it was a great city at one time and witnessed the gradual degrade over time and got sick of it.

The OP went to the Naper Settlement in the early 1990s for a school trip, thats where he learned about it.

I think it's a bit off to say that Naperville was a farm town until the early 1990s. It was fully in suburb mode in the 1980s as well, though it was surrounded by farm fields. I used to visit family friends there in the early 80s, and it certainly wasn't a "farm town".

I remember when Naperville was a regular town with working man's taverns downtown. Now it's all boutiques for the trophy wives to buy nice lingerie for when the UPS driver comes.
