My husband may soon be offered a job in Addison. We are wondering what the area is like--haven't been able to find much about Addison (other than the compiled stats, which only give a vague picture) here or elsewhere. We're not from Chicago area and know little about it (we've visited a few times, that's it)--I have been reading the forums recently, though, to try to get a feel for things. We'd love to read posts from anyone that lives in or near Addison on what life is like there. If you were offered a job in Addison, would you live there? If not, what nearby AFFORDABLE suburbs would you suggest? (looking for a house in the $150-200k--is this even possible?) We're used to commuting 40-50 minutes right now, so that is not a major concern (as far as where the housing would be). Schools are also not a concern as we do not have any children. Just want a place that we would feel 'safe' and wouldn't go broke trying to live there lol. Thanks in advance!
