My wife and I plan to move back to the SW suburbs of Chicago in the distant future (Downers Grove, Woodridge, Bolingbrook, Romeoville, etc.). We are aware of some of the local hospitals in those towns, but is it hard for a Registered Nurse to get a job out there? We keep hearing there's a nursing shortage, but it's only down in Orlando FL where we currently live that RN's can pretty much right their own tickets. How is it up there for an RN to get a job? Is there a demand, or more competition. My wife specializes in the Medical surgical unit. Thanks.
