I'm going to be completely honest-
I've been and Medieval times is nothing that special. What about a sports game? In march I want to say that the blackhawks & bulls are still playing, that might be fun. IMO more fun than medieval times. Or just spend a chill night out on the town, maybe take one of the cruises on Lake Michigan- we did that for post prom and it was an amazing time. I think ours was on the spirt of chicago or something like that. I think the money would be better spent and it could be a fun way to spend the night seeing chicago all lit up.

Schaumburg is nice, but not for a senior class trip, you want to go to Chicago, see MillenniumPark, museum campus, shopping on the mag mile, sears/Hancock tours. Don't waste a night in Schaumburg when there are things 100 times better to do in the city, and I spend a lot of time in Schaumburg. I don't think there are any restaurants out there that you can't find the same exact thing or something better in the city.

I want to say my sorority sisters are planning a get together downtown over winter break, and she's using hotwire.com- she found rooms that will apparently cost each person 20 bucks a night if there are 4 people to a room. That seems reasonable, it doesn't have to be the Fourseasons, maybe try looking around some more, you should be able to find something reasonable. I know travelocity lets you pick what area of the city- I looked at the Mag mile they had around 130 night cheapest, the loop 84 cheapest etc.

Best of luck- I'm sure no matter what you do your senior trip will be fun!

Thanks so much to everyone! Since there has never been the "educational" stamp on senior trips at our school it's been refreshing that the students are now asking to add museums they've not been to on School Trips! We have to take our trip in March which rather limits our outdoor activities, so any out of the ordinary things to add to our adventure would be great to check out! BTW - we plan to hit Medieval Times on our way home - we are couple hours west of city. Many have never been there. Thanks again!

So I'm figuring IA/IL border area? I'm glad the kids are asking to add museums; Chicago has alot of them to offer. I hope you luck out and have high springtime temps for your trip. It can happen and maybe this is the year for it!

There are no remaining discount days in 2008. Community Discount Days resume in 2009 the week of Jan. 10 through 16, and continue on Mondays and Tuesdays in January beginning on Jan. 19. Watch for our discount schedule for all of 2009."
