I wanted to know when the flea markets will open for this year? I see information about their hours but not about the months they are open. Does anyone know if the Joliet market is open? It says it's an indoor flea market. I tried the number with no luck.

Thanks for your help!
Pam

and usually (at least in good weather) the Saturday preceding the 1st Sunday of the month, so if Sat is the last day of the month and Sunday is the 1st day of the next month, it's open that Saturday. Here's the schedule Kane County Flea Market Official Webpage

I go to the Alsip flea market, the Swap-A-Rama. It's an indoor and outdoor market and it's HUGE!!! They have hundreds of vendors. They're open year-round, but I think they'll only have the indoor vendors at this time of the year. Check it out! It's on the south side of 127th street east of Cicero ave and it's open on sundays, saturdays, and a 3rd day which I think is wednesdays, and they charge a $1 fee to get in. They got pretty much anything you can imagine there. And as for the Joliet flea market: where's that one located at? Is it located anywhere near route 6 or route 30? Those are the only two routes I know very well in Joliet.

I like Kane County Flea Market and while it is year round, the best time to go is May -Septebmer. May and June have most vendors there and it is a great time to pick up potted plants and such!

Someone mentioned Swap-O-Rama. I know there's one in the city and another one in Alsip. I have been to the one in Alsip when I was a kid and a few years ago. Usually, it was during summer. You can get lots and lots of nice things. Plenty of delicious food and parking! I should have brought my camera with. The scenery down there is beautiful. Plus, the Alsip water tower is right there.
