Default Prism

A little late but if you're still around and wanting to know, wasn't the Prism the same place as Blue Suede Shoes?

The only regular who might remember is Chuckity. She's the right age and she's from that area. Unfortunately, she is no longer with us on the Illinois forums. I disagreed with almost everything she said but she was smart and actually knew what she was talking about.

Thought I would register and post in case anyone is still interested. Prism was a "Disco" in the late 70's early 80's. The lounge was originally called Pirates Cove before that. I believe it was changed to Blue Suede Shoes after the disco craze died down. It was on the East side of Burnham Ave along Brainard Ave. It was more of a late night spot, along with Jeanette's which was also in Burnham and both were open until 5:30 am. There was a couple of other places open that late in Burnham too but not as popular.
