Simple question- what the hell is that huge white structure "thing" near the football field. I drive pass it almost everyday and still can't figure it out

Isn't it for lights to illuminate the fields? In the top, center you will notice a missile tip design. This is due to history, it used to be a missile site.

How does the intradistrict match up workout?

For DHS and HPHS, Deerfield comes out on top. GBN tops GBS.

Who's considered best in district between VH and L'ville?

Both are pretty good schools and are ranked in the top 25 for public HS

Top 100 high schools in Illinois :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Education
For 2008-09 Libertyville ranked 9 and Vernon Hills 14
2007-08 Libertyville ranked 9 and Vernon Hills 21

I went to high school in the district. Libertyville has better sports teams, but I would say they are about equal in terms of fine arts and academics. Both very good schools.
