You put about twenty exclamation points and all capital letters as though it is crazy to think this area is anywhere near englewood. Please. The official boundary is 75th street (one block away). It's not like the neighborhood on 75th looks any different from 76th. Anyhow the shooting officially took place on 75th and Vincennes, which is officially Englewood. Pretty creepy to have a guy walking down the street at 9:30 am firing an automatic weapon, causing a school bus to crash, hitting a woman on the street, etc.

The area is Greater Grand Crossing. (http://www.cityofchicago.org/content...D_CROSSING.pdf)

Regardless of whatever neighborhood it's in, these kinds of incidents are tragic and I hope this never occurs again.

Not trying to start off topic on this thread however

Who, Deechee? Don't you remember her? lol. She's a black woman from Country Club Hills.. And used to live in Beverly.

Most ironically, there are working class black neighborhoods in the town where Dechee lives.

You are right, there are working class black neighborhoods in CCH. It's not just exclusive to them though, of course there are pockets of working class areas everywhere.

Whoops, this is embarrassing.. Ajoltl wasn't even talking about you and and your posts! If I had read this thread in its entirety, I wouldn't have even said anything.

Why not just live in oak lawn , there are some great deals for homes in that area
Close to the city, access to public transportation
Oak Lawn has some established neighborhoods

If your looking on that side the mt. Greenwood area is nice too wth the same amenities as oak lawn
