I will be moving to the Chicagoland soon to take on my first job, which is in Northbrook (near 294 at Willow Rd.) I know this is gonna be a not-so-decent commute in terms of the distance and traffic, but I would really love to know what routes you guys would recommend to take. I would expect to work in the normal business hours, so I don't think I could really avoid the rush hours.

Should I take highways? local? or should I even start considering taking public transportation? (metra + bus)

Any inputs will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks a lot!

Probably take Touhy to McCormick, McCormick to Dempster, Dempster to 94, 94 to Willow and then Willow down.

or Touhy all the way to 294.

or the kennedy, but i'd avoid it.
