Some of you believe that any majority white area sprinkled with other races complies as diverse. Does the same go for areas that me be dominated by another race(black, hispanic, asian, etc.)?

Yay, another race thread.

What's your version of a diverse neighborhood?

I'm sure you know that white people tend to use "diverse neighborhood" to mean that there are a decent number of black people around (but usually not too many or they wouldn't be there). It's a way of saying "I'm not a racist" and feeling good about themselves. that's how I mostly here it used.

Beyond that, If I ever think to use the term it would have more to do with a range of housing options -- from cheap studios, vintage apartments, tonwhomes, high rises, and single family homes, such that a wide variety of people could have the option of living there. Perhaps an international population too. It is nice if not everyone is a coporate a**hole type. Of course, this leaves the door open for lowlifes, so there's always a balancing act.

My IQ dropped reading this gibberish. I like how people will try to post backhanded racist remarks, but their post is basically racially toned. I like how someone can make negative claims against a group, call that group racist but are able to wash their hands of any wrong doing. Ohh the hypocrisy.

I always thought diversity included different social classes, income levels, household types, ages, educational levels, religion, national origin, and not just race. I guess some people only view the world in Black and White, no pun intended.

Sorry for you old timers that may be bored with my thread, but after discovering this sight it seems that some people are more open minded than others. It does not matter to me the majority race in an area, only that other races are made to feel welcome to any community. My thread just asked a simple question on YOUR opinion. You can answer the question, or leave your backhanded remarks elsewhere!

Your "question" was a backhanded remark to begin with, so quit your whining and take what you dish.

Excuse me "King Drover", another thing I have noticed is the inappropriate reponses to people on here. Are you guys intentionally mean, or just making up for high-school?
