I recently relocated to Chicago and am looking for a weekly publication/newspaper of events in Chicago? Does anyone know the name and where I could pick one up? Thank you.

RedEye and Chicago Reader. Their newspaper "vending machines" can be found just about on every other city block, and they're free which is why I put "vending machines" in quotes.

I don't live in Chicago (yet), and have no idea what's best or not, but we subscribe to Time Out Chicago. I think it's $2.99 in the stores, but a yearly subscription is pretty cheap.

The Chicago Reader is free

Chicago Reader

You can usually get it at your local coffee shop, libraries, music stores, etc. It's not always at the same places though. It comes out on Wednesday, I think.

I would just get the Reader (widespread) and New City (not as popular but other stuff).. Red Eye is a joke honestly... more of a tabloid featuring idiots comments on the Bears or what B-list actor popped into [insert lame river north bar]...If you want online check out Gapers Block as well. Better yet, just go in a local neighborhood coffee shop and see whats on their wall/handouts for that week.
