Hello!

I moved to Chicago less than 3 months ago, from Sweden. I'm a quite introverted type of person, so it's difficult for me to make friends. I'm wondering if there are any good websites where you could meet people in Chicago? I live in Edgewater, maybe there are any sites for people who live here?
Are there any special interest websites for Chicago? Like a music forum or something like that. My other major interests are psychology and travelling.

Thanks!

Louise

ps. if anyone wants to befriend me on here, they can.

heheh. City-Data "friends" are more allies than friends. Or at least that's how I see it. To break a city-data friendship is like deciding to spit on my hand after shaking it. To break a real friendship is more along the lines of spitting on my grave.

Thanks people. Avengerfire: I have a difficult time putting music into different genres, because if I do, someone will always be like "group x is not genre y, it's genre z". but anyway, usually alternative rock. I like rap too, and (indie) pop. My favorite groups are Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins and SILVERSUN PICKUPS oh my lord. the last group is all i listen to nowadays.

If you play sports there's the sports leagues. Players Sports, Chicago Sportsmonster, Chicago Sport and Social Club. They offer softball, volleyball, bowling, euchre leagues. They also organize ski trips.

Somebody here also posted Meetup.com and I've heard good things about that.

She's Swedish, Tom. She probably would be Lutheran.

However, to the OP, the Logan Square area has a Norwegian church; that might be a way to meet other Scandinavians.
