Well, I'm packing up my car and driving from pittsburgh tommorow. I've posted numerous threads on here about relocating and I appreciate everyones input and help. I found a decent 1BR in bridgeport, neighborhood seems nice, public transportation ain't too far away and I'm only 30 minutes away from my work on E 114th, so I think I made a good move so far. It's just going be different with not many friends and family.

Anyone know of any good bars in bridgeport or by sox park?? Also, any cheap furniture places that deliver to southside chicago..? (I know Value City and Big Lots are common ones in pittsburgh.) Also what is the price for a city sticker? If anyone got any additional tips or advice for me I'd appreciate it.

Where did you end up in Bridgeport?

The quintessential Bridgeport bar is Schaller's Pump on 37th and Halsted. It is known as the cities oldest bar.

Pancho Pistola's is on the 700 block of 31st st, which is a good bar/eatery for Mexican.

City sticker info is here: Office of the Chicago City Clerk -- Vehicle City Stickers Information

The Bridgeport Inn at Archer and Haynes is a good neighborhood tavern. A couple of blocks south on Archer is the Mexico Steak House, my favorite Mexican restaurant.

Scahller's is a good tavern; so is Sheehan's if you can find the place and they let you in but a guy called "Pittsburg Nate" could fit in.

Yeah, but don't mess around and not get one for months. They will get you at some point and usually more than 1 time in a year. If that happens, it would have always been cheaper to buy one to begin with.
