Please don't use "Golan Moving" out of Skokie!

All three of the movers barely spoke English, and they simply put items wherever they had room in the apartment - I was lucky I managed to get my bed into my bedroom.

In addition, when I went to tip them, there were two (out of the three) movers there. I was tipping $40 dollars, which is about $13 per mover (I tipped the 4 movers I used to move here $40). The movers then had the audacity to ask for a $20 for the other guy! I was so exhausted, shocked, and tired that I just gave it to them.

Rest assured, I will NOT be using them again. Did I forget to mention that I told them I would not arrive in Chicago until 3PM, and three separate times, beginning at 9AM, they called me to ask if they could move me in early?

Good Luck - I would use Yelp as a guide, also, they should be helpful as well!

When I moved two weeks ago, I used Bob's Muscle for Hire (I said Bill's mistakenly in my last post, but just found their card). The guys were incredible movers (quick and safe). A little unique sales pitch (guy runs a re-hab house, which is cool), and the price is right and the did a great job.

not sure if links are allowed, but if not, I'll edit it out:

When I moved up from the Dallas/Ft Worth area a few weeks ago, I had "Chicago 123 Movers" unload my ABF truck into my 2nd floor condo. They were very careful and very fast. I'd definitely use them again in the future.

Had a listing on craigslist. Odd that he never answered the phone. Dunno.
