I think I'd rather be there right now to tell you the truth.

Seriously. At least your snow looks to be falling lightly into nice fluffy piles instead of being blown horizontally like an ice-crystal sandblasting.

My friend's house (where I am at right now) has varying between 3 and 6 foot high piles of snow and snow drift in the back yard at the moment.

The snow is still going. I bet it won't stop until 5pm.

I just went out again for the first time in an hour. Looks like 2-3 more inches fell!

I don't work for the CPS, but I can almost guarantee schools will be closed Thursday as well. I would not expect school on Friday either.

Unlike the poor guy in the article who had moved to Chicago from South Carolina and didn't know what a blizzard was, I did the opposite and moved from Chicago to South Carolina, but I have many friends and family still in the Chicago area.

I really feel for all of you suffering through this latest onslaught and find it inconceivable that they could shut down Lake Shore Drive and leave all those people stranded for so many hours! And that was before things got even worse!

I can only imagine the many stories that are going to come out of this storm. I'll be staying tuned to the Weather Channel and WGN news (Yep, I get it here too!).

Stay safe and warm, people!

This morning on WLS radio they reported that several Cook County jail imates were to be released last night. They asked to STAY IN JAIL! I'd say that speaks volumes about the weather conditions. lol
