Way to go! I just dug out my grills and am doing some roast beef over cherry wood tonight.

Sounds great. I had a ribeye steak the size of my head (Chicken breast for the wife) To heck with the weather, grilling is a year-round thing for me.
I've never been able to master using wood/smoke to grill. I'll bet that roast beef is gonna be delicious.
Not to get too off topic, but do you use a particular rub?

No plows yet on my side streets, and they're usually done pretty quick. Lotsa cars trying to navigate it unsuccessfully.
The alley my garage lets out into may be nigh well unpassable for at least another couple days.

I just went for a little stroll to check on my car. No plows yet. Wilson is plowed as well as it could be, but every other E/W side street is in terrible shape.

I use the Galena Street/Bronzeville Rib Rub from The Spice House. If you've never been there.... go. Their stuff costs about the same as Spice Island jars in the grocery store but it's a lot better.

I wish there was someway to help, like asking Mother Nature if she could send some of that snow our way.

I'll have to check that store out, Drover, thanks. I like Penzey's but I always end up window shopping only because they're pretty pricey.

Hate veering from topic, but we grill all winter, too. U guys like Montreal Steak Seasoning or is it too overpowering? I love it.

pretty happy to report that I walked to pick up a pizza from Giordano's around 7 pm and the shoveling done by neighbors on sidewalks was so immaculate I probably could have worn sandals and not gotten my feet wet. oh, and the fact Giordano's (on Milwaukee & Wisner) was even open was a blizzard miracle.
