exactly. and what the hell has this country come to when it's acceptable for a corporation to masquerade as a "person," gobble other corporations and then use that aggregate market share power to dictate terms, yet, real honest-to-god flesh-and-blood people can't band together?

insanity.

every single person who doesn't support Wisconsin's public service sector ought to voluntarily give up their health benefits, vacation and sick time, and everything else organized labor bled dearly for.

Cart before horse. This happens when I rely on a snippet from TV news instead of more thorough reading.
Instantly taking away collective bargaining is heavy handed.
The % contributions increase being asked for are generally fair.
Instant implementation may be unfair (vs. phasing in over 3 years)

The taxing users of the path stuff is nonsense.

Mixed feelings about the bridge. It's needed and will be there for a very long time. Would a simpler design cut the price down by 10%, 30%??

You may have to construct some machine gun towers down there if it is built.

So don't go complaining about taxes when you are simultaneously demanding more services that require taxes.
I am not demanding more services.

^^^We should probably tax the southside residents if we are going to have machine gun towers built to prevent northsiders from coming to the southside. Right?

Yeah, wait a minute is right. The bridge will not be located on the northside.

Downtown is neutral territory.

In Holland where biking ranks as one of the most common forms of transportation, cyclists are required to carry 'personal liability insurance' in case they cause some kind of accident.
