I constantly read people posting about how bad the west side is, and I don't doubt it. My question is, what parts are bad, really bad and the worst? The west side is a pretty big place, so could someone who is relatively familiar with it give more specifics? Like how bad is the far west boarder (Austin Ave.) compared with Central, compared with K Town, compared with Garfield park etc...

In other words, the OP wishes to find the creme de la creme.

Well, of what utility is this information for you? Prurient interest?

As a matter of fact, I have an appointment on the west side tomorrow. See you there.

Why do people always respond with "why do you care?"
I see people post more idiotic questions and they're answered right away

Well, I live in Chicago, will be moving relatively close to the west side, so no, not "Prurient interest".

I don't, nor will I ever have an "appointment" there, so I won't be seeing you.

So, if someone in the know could actually respond to the topic, it would be greatly appreciated.

I think K-town is probably up there.

Or, you could do a little research on your own with the CLEARmap site to see where most crimes are happening in Austin.
