If you want to meet ladies I would suggest Wrigleyville or Viagra Triangle. Are you really into clubs or do you want an area with tons of nightlife and a mix of bars with dancefloors?

While I don't frequent Wrigleyville as much as I used to it really is a fun area. There are tons of bars that have a club like atmosphere like John Barleycorn (make sure it's the one on Clark), Moe's Cantina, and there are quite a few other ones.

If you have never experienced nightlife in Chicago I would suggest checking out Wrigleyville or Wicker Park/Bucktown. The club scene is good in River North if you like clubs, but it is fairly spread out and the people are fairly stuck up. Viagra Triangle gets crazy but a little too touristy.

I have always felt that Wrigleyville and Wicker Park/Bucktown will give you the best bang for your buck. They tend to have clubs, bars, friendlier people, good places to eat, and and awesome nightlife vibe. Lincoln Park is also just as good, but Wrigleyville and Wicker Park have a truly unique vibe when it comes to nightlife. It's worth venturing that way IMO.

I'm not very into dancing per se (until I have a few drinks in me) but I do like to be in the mix of things. If any of you have been to Dallas.... I like Uptown.. it's a mix of bars and clubs.. some high end and some middle of the road. I tend to be more on the preppy side and can stand out a little at clubs since I dont do the tight little v neck shirts and all. I dress in JCrew, Brooks Brothers, Polo style clothing.

In that case, stay in Lincoln Park or Wrigleyville.

If youre on your own I'd shy away from the River North scene to be honest. Wrigleyville and Gold Coast could be good fits. Check out some of the Bars around Rush and/or Division or up on Clark.

Yeah then stay away from River North. I would definitely go to Wrigleyville, it has a much better mix. Lincoln Park also seems to fit what you want as well. However, with exception of Lincoln Ave between Fullerton and Webster, the nightlife in Lincoln Park can be pretty spread out.

I think you would enjoy Wrigleyville the most.
