Does it seem like the White Sox are the cool team to follow. I see a lot of young people wearing sox gear , but I never see Cubs gear except for old people and tourist.I am a life long Cub fan but it just seems like ever since the Sox won the series the trend is going towards them .This is especially true among native Chicagoans. The Cubs however, still seem to be a big tourist attraction. I'm just saying.

No. I see many people with cubs apparel. Young, old, of all races, poor, rich, etc.

Sox caps are popular though mostly cus they're black and match with anything.
That's why I got mine.
But then I got a black cubs one

I've been following them since the 70s.... We moved here from Cincinnati in 1972, and I was already a Reds fan, so it seemed redundant to like a second National League team, so I naturally chose the Sox as my "Chicago team" to like. Went to my first game in 1975.

I see a lot of gear from both teams these days.

Outside of Chicago, there are pretty much millions of Cubs fans. I went to a Braves game a year or so ago against the Cubs here in Atlanta, and there were more Cubs fans there. I think there's just so many Cub transplants across the country.

I'm personally more of a Cubs fan because my grandma dated a few of the players way back in the day, so as I kid, I got to meet a lot of them, but I still support the Sox since I'm a south sider.

I still feel like the Cubs are the more popular team, eventhough I'm a Sox fan. Outside of Chicago I've seen way more people with white sox hats since it goes with everything.

My favorite hats are the ones with the streets on it like these

She never would tell me an exact number. At least 4-5 that I can clearly remember plus someone in management that had a lot of pull.

Of course the Cubs are more popular, but he asked if it was cooler to like the Sox, and I think yes, it is. All the cool people are down with the South and West Siders!

Default sox town

I just think that the sox have demographics on their side. When I think of Cub fans, I think of aging thirty something frat boys and old baby boomers like myself. I think people in their twentys and younger would tend to be Sox fans regardless of where they live. I think the North side South side thing is starting to die out.
