What public transit options are there to go from the international airport to 171 W Randolph street? I will have one suitcase +backpack.

Also, are there any health food stores near that area (or available by easy transit)?

Web site for the CTA. It can give you the best options. The Blue line runs from O'hare to downtown 24 hours a day. That is your best option.

I don't want to be a jerk, but do you not have access to Google in your country? If you go to maps.google.com and type in "ORD to 171 w randolph" click "Search Maps" and then select the transit button, it gives you perfectly usable directions.

What do you mean by "health food stores"? Maybe where you come from there's only one type, but that could mean a number of different things here. What exactly are you looking for - vitamins, specific foods, healthy restaurant foods, vegetables, etc, etc?

There is a place called Kramer's Health Food at 230 s. Wabash that has the vitamins, ointmentens and juices that some people consider health food. There is Whole Foods north of the the loop and another south of the loop -- the one north is almost walkable from where the OP asked about... It is at 30w Huron. The other one is at 1101 s. Canal. With a suitcase I would not want to walk to any of those...

I'm not walking with a suitcase! This is after I check into the hotel.

What is the loop?

And is there any electronics store nearby where I could get a plug converter (to connect my laptop to US power sockets)?

There are a couple of Radio Shack locations in the loop but you're better off bringing one with you. They're not that easy to find here (and they're more expensive).

There is a GNC inside Ogilvie Transportation center which is a few blocks from 171 W Randolph. They sell vitamins and nutritional supplements.

Thanks for the info!

Fortunately the hotel (Allegro) had plug adapters, and they lent one to me

I will check out GNC.

Onto food: Any decent non-expensive places to get the following near 171 W Randolph?
--Deep dish pizza (more stuffing the better)
--Korean spicy barbeque type food
--Indian Tandoori

Thanks
