City ordinances apply inside municipal limits; county ordinances are for unincorporated places.

Of course this is not legal, nor is it responsible. Ideally the residents would have the good sense to know that on their own. Secondarily maybe a wise old resident might say "you know a kid is really prone to bad things happening right out on the front parkway..."

If neither of those work a call to DCFS and CPD are in order...

It's either that or a trash can.

lol in this thread: people not minding their own ****ing business.

itt: people being concerned about arbitrary laws.

itt: people being concerned about safety.

itt: middle aged people.

How does this "eyesore" affect your friend who lives across the street's life? It doesn't. She simply lets it bug her.

The CPD have bigger things to worry about than someone being annoyed that an inflatable pool is in front of a black family's house.

Sorry to sound like a dick but this thread is the epitome of why I don't want to get old.

Looks as if the old person on the porch needs to jump in and cool off
unless he is the acting life guard
i agree with the other poster - stay out of it
eventually someone will say something
just dont let it be you!

oh well to each their own when picking a way to cool off

Spike, sorry that pride and safety in your neighborhood is not something you care about. The "pool" looks like trash and is a danger. I'd rather be considered old and care anyday over young and ignorant. When someone puts something out in public or the public way, it becomes everyone's business that may come in contact with it.

It may look trashy, but where is the danger? Is it left filled with water for long periods of time or something? The adults seem to be looking after the children. I have seen a lot more danger when people open fire hydrants.

I can understand blocking the public way, but is there a crowd of people trying to get around a sidewalk on a side street due to this pool?
