Anyone got any input on it? I'm in the process of just becoming a career student :P and was wondering how a second M.A. from there would be viewed? Do people in metro Chicago respect an NEIU degree?

I think there have been a few NEIU threads already. I only took one undergraduate class there, and it was woefully slow and easy. However, I took a handful of M.A. classes there, and found them to be very good. However, your experience may vary based on the concentration you're studying. Overall, I think an NEIU degree is viewed as *just* a degree. I've looked into their MBA program only because it's so incredibly cheap.

OP. You indicated a "second MA". That makes a difference if the first two degrees are from a well respected school. The second M.A. will just be icing on the cake. Depends on the subject area, etc etc. You know all this already I am just blabbering.

It isn't the best school, but I think a second M.A. is one circumstance where I would give it potential consideration (assuming the school has a decent program in the subject area you would be seeking).

Good luck to you.

NEIU is a like a cheaper, state-funded University of Phoenix: you go there just to put some credentials from a university -- any university -- on your resume.

It's got to be better than University of Phoenix.

Ouch! I was wondering why I couldn't find much about them online! They've been horrible about getting back to me with information on their programs... Hrm.

Not surprising. The whole enrollment process was a disaster. Emails seemingly fall into black holes. Phoene calls go un-returned or sent to people who don't care. And when I inquired about switching programs, they shrugged me off.
