The name is alittle misleading but... I know there is a huge difference. I've been to Chicago once when i was 10...which was quite a while back. I'm not actually sure i'm going to move to Chicago, but right now, i live in Denver and I was wondering if CHI and DEN were really all that Different. What are some things they have in common (that is if they have anything in common). Lets say Denver didn't have mountains, and those mountains were replaced with a lake, and denvers population was 6million (I know its impossible)...would they be similar at all?

Also, i think it would be interesting to see if people from Chicago like/or dislike The city of Denver. Thanks in advance for any comments!

I can't draw many comparisions between Chicago and Denver. Chicago is much more comparable to New York. Subways/mass transit. Highly Walkable. Many folks have no need for cars (I can only think of one or two DEN neighborhoods where I'd live without a car and even then it would be iffy).

Both cities have excellent health care and major ball teams.

I love Denver and Boulder btw

Denver can reach 6 million in the metro. More people are born than people die. It will happen....not sure when.

Like I said. It gets country fast.
Less dense.
Foods weird.
Less blacks.
Less trains and buses.
Trust me there's a difference with the amount of blacks here and there.

Also we got ethnic enclaves.

I know Chicago is alot larger and has a larger African American population, but I'm from Houston, and Having a huge population of Blacks doesn't concern me. Density is overrated to me (I've said this before but, whats so good about living 2 feet away from your neighbor?), The food here isn't weird at all. Denver is filled with Chain restraunts, so thats a strange statement. I don't think Denver needs all the trains and busses mainly due to it being a small city. Also, I don't think that it gets "Country"...The city has to end somewhere..right?

But what really sets these places apart...i'm talking about..

The Scenery
The Climate
The People
The Food
etc...How are these things the same? How are they different??

Thanks for the responses so far.!
