Hello,
Can anyone provide me with the contact info of some LCPCs and/ or LCSWs who are available to provide supervision to LPCs on hourly bases?

I have a similar question. I'm licensed in Illinois as an LPC, and I'm wondering is it possible to pay for separate supervision, supervision outside of your workplace or agency? Especially in a situation where they are unwilling to provide the necessary supervision for completion of the LCPC licence? Also, is it possible to work independently with a separate paid supervisor while working on the necessary hours for the completion of the LCPC?

Hi All,

To answer your question with regard to the difference between an LPC & an LCPC in Illinois...

When you are looking for a job and see "must be licensed," they are NOT referring to the LPC license - very challenging to find work here in Illinois with only an LPC. (Very strange situation, indeed. My LPC license says "license" - but is not considered such by most employers here.)

Best of luck to you!
