What is your favorite movie that was filmed in the Chicago area? There are lots of good ones to choose from. My favorite would have to be the John Hughes movie called "Only the Lonely" starring John Candy and Jim Belushi. I think the best picture set in Chicago is The Public Enemy. It has establishing shots of the Loop, the Union Stockyards and Bridgeport but was shot on the Warners lot and in Los Angeles. Like the scene where Cagney picks up Harlow on "Kedzie" with a Bank of America across the street.
