I know the Rush/Division area is "cool" to make fun of, but you're kidding yourself if you say you can't have a blast there. Of course there are plenty of douches, but there have been some new places popping up that are much less douchey, and there are plenty of more low key places...not to mention all the bars are so nice and compact. Its great for a night out. It may not be my favorite place in the city to go out, but I feel like it gets too much hate.

It's not in the commercial heart, but Ravenswood and Wilson is in the community area. Whatever, the place sucks.

Indeed it does. They've 'forgotten' to take my order, and took FOREVER to get me a beer. Little things like that make me go grrrrr.

True, it was unfair to group Grafton in with the faux trend, it's no Celtic Crossings pre-buyout but it's perfectly fine.

Ok, so we've established that many here don't like faux Irish bars.

Lake View and Lincoln Park are the co-kings of that department.
I would have to agree. The Brownstone is the only place that seems to be straight out of Lakeview or Lincoln Park.

I'd say Lincoln at Lawrence/Wilson and working your way down to Irving and beyond.

I've done the Winnemac and Clark thing, and worked my way up. It's OK.

While I love Andersonville, we don't have a lot of bars. So go with Lincoln.
