You can see a list of all of the South Loop buildings, with links to their websites, online availability data, Yelp reviews and videos where available at YoChicago's at-a-glance list and map.

Your best bet for finding condos is by searching units listed in the Multiple Listing Service at sites maintained by Coldwell Banker, Koenig & Strey or Prudential Rubloff - all major brokerage firms, and all clients of my firm.

Mac Apartments, another client of my firm, has 1,000s of units in Hyde Park.

No such intersection as 11th & Prairie. No such address as 11 S. Prairie.

Google Maps does show 1100 S. Prairie. It looks like it's a Metra station.

That would explain why the rent is so low-it's noisy. But it is convenient to transportation.

Sorry, there is no 1100 block of Prairie. It begins at 1200 South.

This building isn't "new" per se, it was formerly Lexington Park Condos and the exterior had been finished for a few years, to my understanding, and then the project came to a halt. 3 units did sell allegedly (of some 330+). The Tower has since sat empty but the 8 story lofts were being occupied. It's kind of a shame this happened, since it looks like a really nice building, with a garden deck above the lofts, and party room. I notice it every time I'm eating in the area - this monstrous tower all dark save for a couple lights on.

Article from 2009 here:
Lexington Park Condominiums’ Web site and listings disappear

From the developer:

Lexington Park Condominiums, Chicago - YouTube

And that neighborhood is technically "Near Southside" isn't it? "South Loop" ends at Roosevelt?

Sorry I wasn't more clear, it's new to being a rental building. Vitually none of the units have been lived in.

I own a condo in the South Loop and when I rent it out, it's usually either directly through my Realtor or on Craig's list. I would call one of the big Realtor companies, see if they keep listings (i.e. Koenig and Strey) and also check Craig's list for listings.

That said, if I remember right, there's a very large white colored apartment building near Roosevelt and Michigan. It's the one with the restaurant Yolk at the base. There's also 1212 S. Michigan.
