That area is nice but don't go into Uptown, especially anywhere within the vincinity of the Wilson L stop. Crap hole.

Yes, stay away from the core of Uptown and its two premier major concert venues, its premier jazz venue, its premier indie concert venue, its handful of top-flite restaurants, etc. etc. etc...

I have to agree. No one should ever go to the Aragon. It will make it easier for me to get tickets to shows there.

And make sure you stay far away from my fancy artesian bread and cheese shop on Wilson! Not enough pastries to go around.

The Wilson Red Line stop is still kinda skeevy though.

Seriously though, weird stuff does still happen in Uptown's core. But to categorically say "don't ever go there" is to miss out on a lot of good stuff happening over there.

True. If I had follow the advice of the folks who said don't go into Uptown b/c it's a "crap hole", I would never checked out the awesome poetry slam over at the Green Mill. Fun times there

Uptown has an edge and its issues, but it isn't a place I'd avoid like the plague.

Glad you like it. Your tag says ravenswood manor, hermitage and montrose is not ravenswood manor though.
