I think I've told this story before but a friend of mine always left his car unlocked for this exact reason, and then once made the epic mistake of leaving his ipod out in plain sight. The thief didn't break the window in this instance, although I'm sure that does happen, but he grabbed the ipod as well as opened a 12 pack of coke that was in the back seat and took one, just one. Stealing must make you thirsty!

I'm sure this is directly related to the level of expertise of the punks. A group of kids just looking for easy stuff probably only hits unlocked doors thinking it's somehow less of a crime.

The true professional burgular punks going for larger hauls probably break the windows.

Both groups should be shot on site.

Literally!? So, now we're killing petty thieves and vandals!? That's not my idea of justice. Two wrongs don't make it right. I think you mean "shot" with a camera... at least I hope.

I didn't say killed, I said shot. Either the leg or ideally if you're accurate enough the hands, both of them.

The occasional death wouldn't be the worst.

Man, ya'll shootin' folks too easy, around here. Wow! It ain't THAT serious... is it? I mean, isn't that what insurance is for? I'm not mad at you. You gotta do what you gotta do. But, I just can't see shooting someone who didn't put me, or my families life, in jeopardy. That's all I'm sayin'. Besides that, is it even legal to shoot a petty thief/vandal? Now, I'm going to prison over a couple of cd's, and a air freshener. lol

Try this: put $5 in a envelope, along with a note saying: "Here's $5 for your troubles. Please don't hurt anything. I love and need my car. Thank you. P.S. Consider yourself lucky. My first choice was to bust a cap in yo ass". Then, leave the envelope on the seat, and relax.

Just wait till things get REALLY bad. When the NWO takes over and people turn into real animals. You'd be shooting anything and anyone that so much as breathed in the wrong direction. What makes you think there is a difference between a "petty" thief and just a plain thief? Are you making excuses for the fact they are about as worthless as a street rat? You folks must hang out with some choice company that's for sure. Punks like the one illustrated on that YouTube video should be hung upside down by his toes till dead. What are they deserving of? If all they can do is take what is NOT theirs. Obviously they had no momma and daddy to teach them better. Very sad indeed, but not worth making excuses for
