I would like to know what teacher's opinions are of working at a charter school in Chicago.

I would like to know what the working conditions are really like and the way the staff are treated. Obviously I know this varies from school to school but I would like to know in general.

From what I have observed, it looks like the teachers are overworked, underpaid, and stressed. Can you please give me some insight into what it's like working there, in all aspects? (salary, benefits, assistants, number of hours at work/week, safe neighborhood to work in, student behavior, administration behavior, reasonable workload, professional development, tenure/turnover of staff, etc).

Also, I saw on "indeed.com" that the Bronzeville Lighthouse Charter School teachers are making $22,000. Is this possible?!?! Does anyone have any experience with this school?

Thank You : )
