You knew that, though, didn't you? Fail indeed.
A Latino is a man. Anyway, none of the Mexicans I know would be offended about being called "Mexican".

Wait a second. YOU live in Pilsen, an integrated neighborhood..

I don't consider a Mexican and Euro mixed neighborhood integrated. Many Euros, at least working class ones, consider Mexicans "white" and are on easy terms with them. And I know many Euro-Mexican marriages, far more than I know Black-White ones.

I have a suspicion many middle class Euros have a contempt for Mexicans missing among the Euro working class.

You're a goddamned genius. Okay, Latino/Latina, then. So sorry to offend your gender sensitivity.

No, but the Puerto Ricans and all other varieties of Latinos/Latinas who you certainly must be including if you're trying to argue that all of those neighborhoods are diverse would be.

That's why I said "Hispanic".

You said Mexican. Hispanic refers to people of Spanish decent, which includes quite a lot of White people, such as, you know, most of the nation of Spain, for example. Latino/Latina refers to people of Latin American decent.

You're feeling very bold tonight; you called me a "world class a-hole" and now you're cracking wise with Urza. Very bold indeed.

White people are native to Africa too, especially South Africa. Are they "African Americans" when they immigrate?

I don't think you're an a-hole, Tom. I just think you're being an a-hole when you block traffic. It's okay, we all have our moments.

No, but I'm pretty sure you knew that, too. Done yet?

I'm just describing how terms are used. I didn't invent them, and am not trying to argue that they're all consistent or rational.

Lower West Side (Pilsen): 3%

You can look all of these up yourself, so I'm going to stop now. There are very few neighborhoods that are integrated between Black people and White people in Chicago, which is why the few that exist are so well-known for it. Uptown and Hyde Park come to mind.
