Went last night, this might become one of the premier street fests in Chicago if they can keep it going. Awesome food (all the good LS area restaurants participated), great beer (lots of micro/craft beers) and good music.
Plenty of space (gets crowded of course but you can easily duck into the park if needed) and the entire parking lot just north of Sunnyside was open with tables, chairs, etc.

While different than Folk and Roots, I was still very pleasently surprised with what they put on last night.

While the $10 suggested donation was steep, I don't mind paying it if I think the organizers put a lot of thought into the plans which I believe they did.

I'm a folk/roots music fan, so I thought about going, but Lincoln Square is so freaking far up north. I went to Tour De Fat today instead, and to my surprise it was easily one of the most fun festivals I've ever been to in Chicago. Great mix of laid back / hip people there, at a level that I'm not used to seeing in Chicago. It almost reminded me of being in the Western U.S.
