It's not a "bubble" per-say, but the CTA is obviously incredibly safe for any average rider. Far far safer than just overall rates for the city or country.

I agree. I've been riding the CTA every day for over two years now and have visited every station at least once. I was just disputing the claim that a turnstile is impermeable to crime.
