^Yup that's pretty true of the 50 from my experience. I've absolutely watched bikers pull away from the bus through Ukrainian Village.

I figured it was clear that I was exaggerating, considering Denver is 1,000 miles away from Wicker Park.

You should definitely check out Wicker Park and Bucktown. There are still affordable apartments in the area, especially around Pulaski Park (east of Ashland from Division to North Avenue. In addition, the area close to Western from Division to Fullerton still has affordable options. Check out the Wicker Park and Bucktown Chamber of Commerce website Wicker Park Chicago & Bucktown Chicago - Chicago, IL 60622 60647 , for a great list of things to do and all the cool businesses.

Pretty transparent, wasn't it?

As long as they don't go the route of other chamber of commerces' and condense/mangle Wicker Park into "Wickerpark" like North Center and Lake View's did, I'll give 'em a pass though.

The Lake View group did a magnificent job on that. It wasn't until recently that I realized it isn't Lakeview (which I think I prefer).

Yes it was clear. I have family in Andersonville and take the #50 to visit.

According to google maps, the #50 from North & Damen takes 34 mins to Andersonville. From North/Clyborn red line around 30 mins. By car, around 15 mins.

I don't think it's unlivable. Of course its going to vary by time period but whenever I go it just does not seem that bad.

As a Lake View native, the one-word version will just always look like a typo to me.

Fortunately the Community Area is set in stone, and the there's the Lake View Citizens council, Lake View High School, Lake View YMCA, etc. to keep we old timers happy.

And yep, looky here: Northcenter Chamber of Commerce
