Karen Lewis might be one of the most offensive PR people in history. Everything about her. I was raised by grade school teachers, have lived with them as roommates for 6 years and am really good friend with many. I generally support teachers greatly and understand all the crap they go through. I haven't totally drawn any lines in this strike because I don't feel educated enough on the issues - but every time that woman opens her mouth my instinct is to be against her viewpoints. She needs a ton of lessons on how to deliver a point and debate.

Agreed. I am a CPS parent and fully support the teachers. I've seen a lot of what needs to be fixed firsthand and have spent a few years now trying to help out as best I can. Even with that level of sympathy I just can't stand to watch Karen Lewis. It isn't that she is just rough and abrasive, she's also condescending and pedantic - even to people who are trying to agree with her. As soon as she opens her mouth she radiates a tone of "You don't get it you idiot!". She may be good in negotiations but she should never be allowed to be the face of CPS.

Both side have plenty of blame to go around for all the posturing and personal pocket lining that occurs. But of course, I should know by now that dandruff is Bush's fault and hangnails are Obama's fault The demonizing of Presidents does absolutely nothing except increase the rancor between people.

Keep in mind that to actually make that amount would reflect 14 years of experience and a Master's degree.

This seems to be the one thing EVERYONE can agree on, that, and this being hilarious:

I'm glad to see that an accusation like that is seen as being so damaging that it must be unconditionally refuted. It gives me hope for the world.
