Brizard OUT!

http://www.chicagobusiness.com/artic...-months-report

I sorta liked the guy but I suspect his mostly soft spoken language and unwillingness to fight dirty (he really seemed more college professor than hardball negiotiator in all the interviews I heard him give during the strike) were obviously not pluses for Rahm, yet given the torment that Karen Lewis seemed to want to inflict on Rahm I think Brizard's high road tactic was the sane move. The guy will probably learn from it and get a nice gig at a good university...

Although this is not the longest interview it seems that she was doing a lot of the hands-on meetings late in the strike and is a lot more "no nonsense" than her predecessor, which ought to be a good thing, but given the revolving door that CPS has had of late I wonder if she'll be around long enough to really make a difference. -- An Interview with CPS Chief Education Advisor Barbara Byrd-Bennett

Leave to the CTU to a have a "hit piece" about her at their online union newsletter -- Barbara Byrd Bennett - Substance News
