i heard Downtown is going to be expanded. they are going to expand the downtown limits

There is no "official" definition of downtown, so it's hard to know what you mean when you say it's going to be expanded. "Downtown" means different things to different people.

If what you mean is the area of tall buildings, then yes you are right. The South Loop is growing by leaps and bounds. Many new buildings are underway or in the planning stage to be built upwards of 50-80 floors. Then on the west edge of the current downtown, more tall buildings are planned for that area too. A couple of them from what I have heard are supposed to be around 1,000 feet tall.

When i mean expansion, i meant the are that is downtown. Somebody told me the mayor is going to strech out the area that is downtown and include more areas and neighborhood.
