Yeah, my house is like 6 blocks from there. I usually don't think this is a tourist spot, rather, - a good local hangout. What's nice about living here is you can take a bike ride at night and meet people here that go to the shops, restaurants, or take a walk. - Something I miss in Houston. Lots of nice hangouts in this area. I get bored with my Houston area and have to drive to the hangouts.

I miss Chicago, but I'm trying to stay in Houston because it has more jobs and better paying ones.

I don't consider Damen, North, and Milwaukee Ave corner a smaller version of Times Square. I think some people would say N. Michigan Ave(Mag Mile) to be Chicago version of Time Square, especially when you on the bridge entering the Mag Mile. Another good corner is between N Clark St, Diversey PKwy, and N. Broadway in Lincoln Park/Lakeview.

Ummm.....yeah, no. Nice area, but not Times Square by any stretch of the imagination. Hell, the real Times Square isn't really "TIMES SQUARE". It's very touristy and a pretty big letdown.

What the hell is with the fascination of finding Chicago's "Times Square" in here?

That was before the huge Bank of America took down the fun cafe I used to hang out at. I miss them days.

I'd say Ontario Street / Ohio Street, near the 90/94 entrance & exit ramps, and close to a bunch of famous nightclubs & restaurants would be our closest thing to a Times Square. If you think about it, this is where you see most of the flashing lights & neon in our town. You got Rock N Roll McDonalds in this corridor, Rainforest Cafe, Gino's East, nightclubs such as Soundbar, Crescendo, Hop Haus, Ontourage, Rino, Martini Park, etc. etc.

It may not be Times Square, but you gotta admit that it has a mix of bright lights & plastic gaudiness (and corporate chain food), that is very similar to Times Square, especially on a Friday or Saturday night.
