So now Joe Berrios thinks he's JFK? Oh lord, that is too much. I think I'd take Mel Reynolds over this corrupt windbag.

oh did you all hear about this Reynolds, a convicted child abuser of a 16 year old sex crime, he is running for the seat of Jesse Jackson, so there ya go another criminal wanting to fill another criminals seat.

If Reynolds gets elected, i seriously think a lot of people are severely retarded.

Nope, nobody heard it. You're the first to mention it in this thread. (Except for me, Chi-Town Native, and Chicago South Sider )

I'm not too familiar with who's who in Chicago politics. But how do these people get elected. When I moved here and saw how R. Daily ran the city, I was appalled.

No joke, Chicagoans as a group have what is known as low "Civic IQ", which Is a bit vague sounding but has been measured in studies before. That refers to basic misconceptions about how the City works, and what politicians are and aren't responsible for. People here have a tendency to credit their aldermen for basic city services that the alderman have nothing to do with, and otherwise just be out to lunch regarding the nuts and bolts of government. I think that holds true for higher offices.

This is too wonky for my tastes, but touches on the topic:
