I think Chicago is a world class city, no other city is alike, but if i had to choose probably Houston. It has alot of similar things and alot of different things. But i can say they are both the same size, same importantce(even though some people consider chicago more important) and i would say the drivers are a bit similar too.

Uhm other than being of similar size in population in city PROPER not metro, Houston and Chicago have almost nothing in common. This must be a joke.

In regards to size, importance, global power/finance, I would say Toronto, San Francisco, Milan, Santiago, Melbourne, Madrid, Frankfurt and Barcelona are peers to Chicago IMO on a global scale I those categories.

In regards to how the city feels, to me it feels like a mix of NYC, Philly and Toronto mixed into one.
