bunch of idiots. We have the most guns of any industrialized country and it only makes us more unsafe. There was a great story on Slate today by a guy who almost shot his dad when he was a kid: The day I almost shot my father: I was young, angry, and holding a gun. - Slate Magazine
Sure you can still kill somebody without a gun, but it's harder.

If accountability (I spelled it correctly for you) and self control worked, we wouldn't have more gun deaths per capita than any other first world nation. We fall right between Costa Rica and Zimbabwe.

People are so sad. Spill coffee on yourself? It's the restaurant's fault! Fat? Well, that's because there are so many fast food offerings everywhere. Committ mass murder? It's because of the guns! Run into someone while texting and driving? It's because of cell phones! Etc, etc...
