It was really crowded when I visited it last year. I really liked the stained glass museum.

I don't doubt it's crowded, I'm just surprised it had the highest attendance ever.

No doubt the mild winter and hot summer had something to do with that. 50 and 60 degree days when the standard is windy and well below freezing have a way of bringing visitors in months when the Pier is normally a ghost town.

Same thing when it is 100+. If tourists want to be outside in the middle of the heat wave, they're going to get away from the concrete jungle and try to catch a breeze wherever they can.
