That's going too far IMO.

Who do we hear about in the news? Innocent little kids getting shot.

Drive by shooters may not intentionally be shooting randomly when they open fire on kids in playgrounds, the effect is the same.

The point of stop and frisk is to to see what you have on you. It's not "used" for anything in particular until the cop finds that the person is indeed carrying something illegal.

Even if the cop finds marijuana the person should be let go or just cited if it is less and an ounce.

And there you have it. Stop and frisk doesn't do diddly -everyday people stepping up is what works.

Two blocks, worlds apart: Police strategy works where residents are willing to inform on criminals - Chicago Sun-Times

On each street for the last year, Chicago Police swept up drug dealers after murders on the West and Southeast Side. The city blanketed the neighborhoods with social services. And residents were encouraged at local church meetings to take their blocks back from the street thugs. The results, though, were markedly different. On the West Side, in the 1900 block of South Troy, crime, overall, took a nose dive. But at 79th and Bennett on the Southeast Side, crime didn’t take a holiday. It got much worse.

You guys must not be from Chicago. Police in Chicago already l do this to anyone who looks suspicious or dresses in baggy clothing.
